StudioJanaFlohr. based in Amsterdam - the Netherlands, is led by Jana Flohr, who has been working as a free-lance designer ever since her graduation at the Utrecht School of the Arts in February 2007.

Jana is inspired by accidental beauty in unexpected places, and is constantly looking for new treasures. For example discarded household goods, weird collections or even rarely used and almost forgotten words.

The goal of StudioJanaFlohr. is to draw peoples' attention to the forgotten value of everyday objects, notions and situations. Because everyday life might be the most genuine life we all share.

The projects of StudioJanaFlohr focus towards conceptual event design, designing for the public space and art-projects, please check out 'theDriftwood.nl' for jewellery- and productdesign projects bij Jana.

Recent collaborations have been with Frederike Top and Studio Thol.

Clients include the Norbertuscollege in Roosendaal, Tuttobene design foundation in Amsterdam, Dutch Design hotel Artemis in Amsterdam and various private individuals.

The studio is situated in a -presently crammed- tiny working-class house just east of the citycentre of Amsterdam, close to the River Amstel and the Amstel trainstation.

Besides working for StudioJanaFlohr. Jana has been actively involved with Utrecht-based designfoundation 'Groene Honden, Jong Ontwerp', and has been working part-time at Studio Makkink & Bey in Rotterdam for several years.
